Easy Sweetheart Treats

It's so easy to whip up some treats for a Valentine's party or just to have some desserts for the day.  Let's face it, the main thing you really need is a heart shaped cookie cutter and it makes anything look festive.  It took me about 15 minutes to make a batch of Rice Krispy treats. I let them set and then went at them with my cookie cutter.

I stuck a pop stick through the middle and then dipped half in pink candy melts.

Mini fruit filled heart pies...I promise these are beyond easy to make.

All you need is some ready made pie crust and a fruit filling of your choice.

Cut out hearts, add a tiny bit of filling, cover with crust and pinch together.  Brush on some egg whites with a pastry brush and bake for 12-15 minutes at 375.  You can also add pop sticks before you bake them to make cute pie pops.

No cookie cutter needed, just cut up a batch of brownies into bite sized squares.  Dip in some chocolate or candy melts and sprinkle with mini hearts.  A little bit more time consuming but so delish!

Are you making any Valentine's goodies?

  1. I love the rice krispy treat idea, much prettier than the boring squares!
